CCIAF monthly business breakfast with the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication

On January 24, 2020, the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAF) organized its monthly business breakfast on the topic of “Beyond the Doing Business reforms: Enabling leverages for inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan” with Mr. Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication as the guest speaker.


The meeting started with a welcome speech by Ms. Zibar Huseynova, Managing Director of the CCIAF. Following her, Ms. Teyba Guliyeva, Chair of the Management Board greeted guests and she highlighted that informing the business community and cooperation between public-private sector is significant for the successful implementation of economic reforms.


Next, Mr. Vusal Gasimli informed guests about the achievements of national economic reforms and strategic road maps for the implementation of 2020 targets. He pointed out that extensive economic reforms have been implementing in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan. He added that public and private sectors should initiate policies to enhance private investments and developing effectiveness of tax and legal administration.


The event was followed by the Q&A session with Mr. Gasimli and the members of CCIAF and networking later.


CCIAF has been operating since 2016 and the main aim is to promote mutual economic and friendship relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the French Republic. CCIAF’s mission is to provide its members with unique networking opportunities including monthly business meetings, representing the members’ interests by playing an advocacy role and proactively addressing issues that affect both its members and the wider business community and offer the members assistance in promoting their business through our platform. Currently, the CCIAF has 60+ members, which are the prominent Azerbaijani, French and international companies.
