AFchamber held annual “Back to Business” Event
On 30 September 2025, the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AFchamber) successfully held its annual “Back to Business” event, bringing together members, partners, and distinguished guests to mark the start of a dynamic new season of business collaboration.
The event started with opening remarks by Ms. Teyba Guliyeva, Chair of the AFchamber Management Board, who highlighted the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and France.
Following her address, Madame Ambassador, Sophie Lagoutte, Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, delivered a speech underlining the importance of France-Azerbaijani economic partnerships and opportunities for future cooperation.
AFchamber’s Managing Director, Mr. Zakir Soltanov, then welcomed two new members to the Chamber – PASHA Life Insurance and the European Azerbaijan School.
Mr. Francesco Banchini, CEO of EAS, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Chamber and emphasized the value of collaboration within the AFchamber community.
The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Gulay Memmedzade, Associate Professor at the Azerbaijan Medical University and Fogarty Global Mental Health Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. She addressed the timely topic of “Burnout and How to Cope After Summer Vacation,” offering practical insights into workplace well-being and resilience.
The evening concluded with a vibrant networking session, where participants exchanged ideas and explored new business opportunities, accompanied by fine wine generously sponsored by Savalan Aspi Winery.
This successful gathering once again reaffirmed AFchamber’s role as a leading platform for dialogue, partnership, and innovation between the Azerbaijani and French business communities.
