AFchamber and TotalEnergies held an event on “Corporate Sustainability: Good for Businesses”
On November 30, 2022, Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AFchamber) and TotalEnergies held an event on “Corporate Sustainability: Good for Businesses” with Guest Speakers: Regis Agut, Managing Director & Country Chair at TotalEnergies and Afchamber Board Member, Khalid Samaka, CEO of Holcim Azerbaijan OJSC and Samir Mammadov, Country Manager United Nations Global Compact. The event was moderated by Tatyana Mikayil, Founder of Tam Advisory and Afchamber Board Member.
The event started with the opening speech of Zibar Huseynova, Managing Director of AFchamber. During the event, guest speakers shared examples of support of their companies to a more sustainable future, for example, donation & charity as a part of corporate sustainability. The guest speakers emphasized the importance of communication, as an integral part of corporate sustainability.
Further, the representative of TotalEnergies and Holcim shared their concerns about environmental issues and briefly informed the public about strategic plans to reduce negative ecological impact, but ameliorate the quality of services. During the discussion speakers and guests discussed the Baku 2040 Master plan, a strategic urban plan aiming to create sustainable development of the capital and a favorable urban environment.
Specialists from our member companies and other public and international companies actively participated in the event.
