Tax, Legal and Finance Committee meeting
On 16 June 2021, AFchamber Tax, Legal, and Finance Committee held a meeting with the Committee members. Representatives of the local and international companies attended the meeting. Chair of the Committee Arzu Hajiyeva, Deputy chairs – Sharaf Asgarova and Nazim Hajiyev informed participants about the updates on law and bank sector.
Arzu Hajiyeva and Sharaf Asgarova talked about important changes to Labor Code – conversion of service contracts to employment contracts and explained impacts of these changes to the businesses. They also made a discussion on penalties and tax consequences of the above changes and shared updates on Procurement Law in Azerbaijan with the participants. Nazim Hajiyev shared detailed information about the updates on status of USD correspondent banks of Azerbaijani banks and preparation of a new version of the law on investment funds in Azerbaijan.
