The Kick-off meeting of the Tax, Legal, and Finance Committee was held
On March 11, 2020, the Kick-off meeting of the CCIAF Tax, Legal, and Finance Committee was held. The meeting was open to the public and different company directors and representatives attended the event.
Chair of the Committee, Ms. Arzu Hajiyeva welcomed the participants and briefed them about the Committee mission, its action plan and introduced the meeting agenda:
- Medical insurance;
- Development of financial securities market in Azerbaijan-our recommendations and actions;
- Update on the latest practices in migration
According to the agenda, the Chair informed guests about the application of the law on mandatory health insurance, its implementation procedures. Next, Mr. Nazim Hajiyev, Deputy Chair of the Committee, talked about the local security market, local banking and highlighted that the Committee should work on updating legislation on investment funds. After him, Ms. Sharaf Asgarova presented the latest amendments to Azerbaijani Migration Code, changes on visa regime, new accelerated processing timelines and she explained details of visa application process.
During the meeting, attendees actively participated in discussions, added their comments, and asked the questions.
