Afchamber and Dentons held a joint event on “Women You Should Meet”
On 6 May 2022 Afchamber in partnership with Dentons held the first event “Women You Should Meet” (#Azerbaijan Edition) with the participation of Maria Yunda, the Managing Director of Schlumberger in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan as the first guest speaker. The event was moderated by Ulvia Zeynalova-Bockin, Partner and Co-Managing Officer of Dentons Baku office.
The event launched with opening speeches of Zibar Huseynova, Managing Director at The Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ulvia Zeynalova-Bockin, Partner and Co-Managing Officer of Dentons Baku office.
Maria Yunda shared her successful experiences, valuable expertise, as well as the challenges she faced in her career path as a female engineer in a male-dominated field. She said that there are currently many successful women engineers in Azerbaijan, whose contribution to this field is noteworthy and inspirational.
The AFchamber’s member companies, female specialists and managers from local and international companies, as well as students from the Faculty of Engineering of UFAZ actively participated in the event.
The event continued with a Q&A session and lively discussion.
