Welcome Reception in honor of madame Anne Boillon, the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan
On 30 January 2023, the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AFchamber) organized a Welcome Reception in honor of madame Anne Boillon, the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan and madame Leyla Abdullayeva, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France at Murtuza Mukhtarov’s house, known as a historical building in Baku – Saadat Palace.
The reception was attended by Ambassador Anne Boillon, Peter Michalko, Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan, representatives of the French Embassy and representatives of local and international companies that are members of the AFchamber. Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva joined the event online from Paris.
The event was opened by Zibar Huseynova, Managing Director of AFchamber and Teyba Guliyeva, Chair of the AFchamber.
The purpose of the event was meeting businesses with Ambassador Anne Boillon and giving economical perspective between Azerbaijan and France.
During their speeches, both Ambassadors have been aligned in their strong beliefs on the potential of the development of relations between two countries and underlined the key role of the business community in this regard. Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva emphasized the need to raise awareness of Azerbaijan in France and rely on AFchamber as one of the channels of information exchange and enhancement of the relations between both countries’ business circles. Ambassador Anne Bouillon once again highlighted the strong French business presence in Azerbaijan and noted Energy, Alternative Energy, and Connectivity as the main areas of further cooperation, while Ambassador Abdullayeva added agro and SME sectors as the main areas of cooperation for the years to come.
The event was followed by historian Fuad Akhundov, who shared interesting facts about the history of Murtuza Mukhtarov’s house.
The event continued with a networking session.
