AFchamber HR Committee held a meeting with Mustafa Abbasbeyli, Chair of the State Employment Agency

On 25 May 2021, Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AFchamber) Human Resources Committee held a meeting with Mustafa Abbasbeyli, Chair of the State Employment Agency. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the business sector about the new platform Subsystem “Labor Relations and Employment” –  ƏMAS, and the other new projects implemented by the Agency. The meeting was attended by representatives of various international and local companies.

In her opening remarks, AFchamber Managing Director Zibar Huseynova noted the importance of deepening public-private partnerships to increase the effectiveness of reforms in all areas. She said the Chamber continues to play an active role in establishing this dialogue. Touching upon the cooperation of the Chamber with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and its subordinate bodies, Chair of AFchamber Management Board Teyba Guliyeva said that a new platform uniting the Ministry, the private sector, and citizens – “ƏMAS” – will further strengthen this cooperation. Chair of AFchamber HR Committee Samira Najafova informed the audience about the projects organized by the Committee and the ongoing AFchamber HR Academy.

Chair of the State Employment Agency Mustafa Abbasbayli, who attended the event as a guest speaker, stressed the importance of dialogue with the business sector for better regulation of labor relations, noting that such meetings are part of the Agency’s reform package. In his speech, Mustafa Abbasbayli informed guests about the activities of the Agency over the past three years, the general strategic goals. He said that digitalization is one of the main directions of reforms and spoke about the projects to be implemented under the slogan “digital employment”. Speaking about one of the most important reforms of the Agency, he said that the system aims to conduct employment policy through a single system. He noted that with the new platform, all paper-based procedures for regulating labor relations will be abolished. He stressed that in general, working conditions will radically change with the implementation of projects in the field of digitalization.

The meeting continued with answering questions from business representatives.
